Driver shot dead
CEBU, Philippines - A 28-year-old motorcycle-for-hire driver was shot dead by an unidentified man at sitio Barraca, barangay Poblacion 3, Carcar City yesterday at 2:00 in the afternoon.
Bryan Agbo, a resident of sitio Tawog, barangay Valladolid, succumbed to a gunshot wound in the head.
Agbo took shelter at a shanty because of heavy rain when the gunman arrived and approached him.
The assailant suddenly pulled out an undetermined caliber of firearm. The residents then heard several bursts of gunfire.
Senior Police Officer 1 Reynaldo Fuentes, Carcar police investigator, said they found Agbo lying in a pool of blood and with a gunshot wound in his head.
Police recovered three empty shells but they could not determine if all the bullets penetrated Agbo’s body.
Fuentes said the pieces of evidence they recovered were taken to the Philippine National Police Crime Laboratory at the Camp Sotero Cabahug to determine the caliber of firearm used.
He said they are still looking for an eyewitness since the incident happened at daytime.
“We are still gathering information to determine the circumstances kay as of now wala pa mi witness nga klaro,” Fuentes told The Freeman.
Agbo’s remains was taken to the Tupas Funeral Homes in barangay Poblacion for autopsy. (FREEMAN)
