Tom Hiddleston’s kind of woman

The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - Tom Hiddleston has reportedly revealed what he looks for in a woman, in an interview posted on Irish television station TV3’s website this week.

“I like strong women. My mothers and sisters are very strong women, immensely independent and very capable and that’s what I feel comfortable with,” the outlet quoted the British “Avengers” and “Thor” heartthrob as saying.

“My mother places a huge importance on decency and kindness and always has—and the older I get the more I realize how rare that is.”

He had made similar comments in an interview with ELLE UK in 2014.

“I believe in the strength and intelligence and sensitivity of women,” he said. ‘My mother, my sisters [they] are strong. My mum is a strong woman and I love her for it.”

Tom, 34, is the son and middle child of Diana Hiddleston, a former stage manager and arts administrator, and James Hiddleston, a Scottish physicist. He has two sisters—Sarah, who is older and works as a journalist in India, and Emma, who is an actress.

The actor, who is promoting his latest film “Crimson Peak,” has always kept his personal life private and has never confirmed a romantic relationship. In recent years, he’s been linked to Jane Arthy, a record executive, and actresses Susannah Fielding and Kat Dennings, the latter of whom starred with him in “Thor” and “Thor: The Dark World.”

This past summer, he and Elizabeth Olsen, his onscreen love interest in “I Saw the Light,” had sparked romance rumors after being spotted out together. The 26-year-old actress later denied they were dating and said they were friends.
