Carmina in MMK’s Mother’s Day special

PR - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - Carmina plays martyr wife and mother in MMK this Saturday as ABS-CBN’s “Maalaala Mo Kaya” reigned as the most watched weekend TV program last Saturday (May 3) with a national TV rating of 30.4% when it featured the story of Jose (played by Bugoy Cariño), an eight-year-old boy who stood as a parent to his seven younger siblings after their mother and father abandoned them.

Based on data from Kantar Media, “MMK” scored 11 points higher than its rival show on GMA, “Magpakailanman” that only rated 19.1%.

Meanwhile, Carmina Villaroel will play the role of a martyr wife and mother in the upcoming Mother’s Day special of “MMK” tonight.

Dina’s (Carmina) family life is almost perfect until her husband Carlo (Bernard Palanca) gets involved in an affair with another woman with whom he has two kids. Dina loves Carlo so much that she is willing to accept him back after several years of being separated.

How deep is a mother’s love that would do just about anything for her family, including taking care of her husband’s children from his past relationship?

Also featured in “MMK” are Sam Concepcion, Paul Salas, Miguel Vergara, Carlo Lacana, John Vincent Servilla, Louise Abuel, Jhiz Deocareza, Ces Quesada, Boboy Garovillo, and Sonjia Calit. It is directed by Raz dela Torre, written by Benson Logronio and Arah Jell Badayos, and researched by Juvien Galano.
