New Placenta penetrates US market

Filipino cosmetics brand, New Placenta is now gaining market penetration in the United States, competing with the well-known brands that have been in the market for years.

Manufactured by Psalmstre Enterprises based in Metro Manila, the company’s wide product line of skin care products has initially attracted the Filipino-American market, and is slowly getting attention from the American consumers.

In a report made by Paul Darnbrook, the lone distributor of Psalmstre products in different areas in the United States, said that consumer base of these Filipino brand has increased significantly.

“These New Placenta beauty products are very good and I can sell them. The customers both Americans and Filipinos love them. The Lotion and Toner are going so well that they keep me busy. New Placenta has a bigger contribution margin to the company” said Darnbrook in his report.

Darnbrook owns the Tekoa Enterprises LLC that is based in Fairfield, Livonia, Michigan.

Endorsed by 1979 Ms. International, Super Model, and Philippine Ambassador of Beauty Melanie Marquez, New Placenta brand for soaps, lotion, toner, among others, is in full speed dominating the skincare market in the Philippines.

In the first quarter of this year, the company reported a 52 percent bottomline beyond the company’s target for the first nine months of 2007.

The company claims that majority of its skin care products now lead the Philippine market, and is slowly conquering the international market.

Developed by Dr. Dietmar J. Rummel, a licensed German National Medicine Doctor and a German Doctor of Science, New Placenta brands have created beauty soaps, facial toner, hand and body lotion, day cream and night cream.

In an earlier interview with Rummel, he said that the Philippines is a good manufacturing base for herbal-based beauty products, because of its rich supply of available plants that have good ingredients for beauty regimen.

Besides, the market in the Philippines is now becoming more vibrant in the skin care lines saying “Everybody wants to look good, not only women, but also men.”

The main Placenta which is the main ingredient of its line of products is a biological placenta extract, imported from Japan, works better than the animal placenta.

Now, aside from plant derived Placenta ingredient, the company is developing products that use other ingredients derived from Philippine plants. — Ehda M. Dagooc
