‘Train the Trainors’ at Lesofat Academy
MANILA, Philippines - Lesofat, a popular anti-obesity brand in the Philippines, is all geared up for its 2014 campaign to promote health and wellness with the recently concluded “Train the Trainors†via the Lesofat Academy.
The Lesofat Academy is an innovative program where top doctors involved in the treatment of diabetes were invited to act as coaches and preceptors to the Lesofat field force.
Doctors from all over the Philippines convened at the Midas Hotel and Casino for the first part of this event.
“Train the Trainors†is a show of partnership between InnoGen Pharma and the doctors. Speakers included Dr. Mia Fojas who presented Orlistat as a novel and effective agent that can prevent and treat obesity; Dr. Bien Matawaran who shared insights on Orlistat as a novel and effective agent that can prevent cardiovascular diseases; and Dr. Gloanne Adolor who discussed Orlistat as a novel and effective agent that can prevent prediabetes and improve blood glucose among type 2 diabetics.
A fellowship dinner followed where Lesofat introduced its latest endorser, radio jock Chikki Boom-Boom of M.O.R. 101.9 (ABS-CBN FM Radio).
Lesofat, marketed by InnoGen Pharmaceuticals, Inc., is an anti-obesity drug. Its action is to prevent the body from absorbing some of the fat from the food one eats.
When taken three times per day with meals, Lesofat blocks about one-third of the fat one eats from being absorbed. Instead, this fat passes through the intestines and is excreted in the stool. When absorbing less fat, one takes in fewer calories, causing weight loss.
