Lord of the Rings

The Philippine Star

I n China, Audi has emerged as the most successful premium brand in the world’s biggest market by having won ten categories in the “Best Cars 2013” readers’ poll of the Chinese Edition of the “auto motor und sport.” The Audi A6 secured the top spot in both the “Upper Midsize” and the “Domestic Upper Midsize” categories, while the Audi Q5 was the most popular in the “Local SUV & Off-roader” category. The lustrous Audi A8 L was top choice in the “Deluxe” category.

In addition, Audi was the top performer in the brand ratings earning the title of “Most Environment-Friendly Manufacturer” for the efficiency program launched by Audi AG in partnership with FAW-VW to cut average fuel consumption of cars by more than 15% achieved by Audi’s efficient start-stop technology, energy recovery, and lightweight construction.

The Audi A1 has also taken the spotlight for two consecutive years in Europe. The A1 was recently voted as the “Best Compact Car” in 2013 by the readers of Auto Motor und Sport, Europe’s widely circulated automotive magazine. 373 models in ten categories competed for readers’ votes. Despite the stiff competition among various models, Auto Motor und Sport’s 112,877 readers laid the verdict that Audi’s smallest model, the A1, is the best in its class.

In the scene of supremacy of the finest luxury car brands, Audi Philippines unquestionably takes the lead. With its diverse models—from a reliable compact car like the A1, to a sleek executive sedan like the A6, to a stylish heavy-duty SUV like the Q7 and to an intimidating and powerful sports car like the R8—Audi more than meets the most meticulous car of an enthusiast’s taste and standards.

After the recognition of the Audi cars in Europe and Beijing, Audi Philippines has now brought in new Audi models fresh from Ingolstadt, Germany.

Last January 25, 2013 at the Audi Global Showroom at the Fort, Taguig City, Audi Philippines launched the Audi A1 Sportback together with 4 new Audi models—the new A4, A6, Q5 and the all-new Q3.

The ceremony started with Audi Philippines Head Benedicto Coyiuto’s statement of optimism that Audi Philippines is looking forward to a stronger 2013. The host for the night was the newly appointed Audi Sales Director Lito Jose. Miss Universe 2012 first runner-up Janine Tugonon and 10 gorgeous Miss Czech Republic 2013 finalists did the unveiling of the new Audi car models. The event started and ended in a splendid and sophisticated fashion.

The New Audi models are now ready for viewing. For those who would like to experience the excellent Audi ride first hand, the Audi Driving Experience Event in February will make this possible. This is a four-day driving event at Clark International Speedway, Pampanga wherein professional driving instructors from Germany will conduct sessions on proper driving techniques and demonstrate Audi’s speed, power and safety features to at least 50 VIP participants per day.

This year, Audi Philippines will prove why an Audi is what a Filipino driver, with an exquisite taste and highest standards in motoring safety, comfort, speed and design, deserves.
