A New Stylish Motorcycle at an Affordable Price

- Lester Dizon -
Motorcyclists rejoice! An exciting, new underbone commuter that is stylish yet affordable will soon prowl the Philippine roads. SC Kymco Pilipinas will unleash the new Kymco Cevira 110, which at P39,950 is not only affordable but is a relative bargain, considering its features and its stylishness.

The new Kymco Cevira 110 promises to cut a svelte figure on the road. The factory stated that the Cevira will have external dimensions measuring 2,000mm length, 685mm width and 1,070mm height, which will slot it nicely in the underbone/commuter market. With a 1,230mm wheelbase, we can speculate that the Cevira will handle better than its competitors, aided more so by its dry weight of only 96 kilograms.
Special Features
Kymco equipped the new Cevira with special features to differentiate it from its competitors. The Cevira boasts of a large and trendy multi-reflector headlamp with halogen bulb that not only improves the looks of the bike but improves the rider’s safety as well, offering an increased field of vision during night riding. Thieves will also think twice before stealing the Cevira because a lockable twist throttle grip will ensure that the bike will be rendered useless without the key. This theft-deterrent provides added peace of mind for the owner when he/she is away from his/her Kymco Cevira 110.

A sporty instrument panel composed of a 140-kph speedometer, stylish fuel gauge and gear indicator will greet the rider when he/she sits on the new Cevira. Ergonomically-placed controls and its light weight will make riding a breeze. Pillion passengers will also love the Cevira for its trendy aluminum grip at the rear and the improved pillion foot peg position while the integrated rear lamp combinations will provide stylish and safe illumination from the rear.
Built for local road conditions
The Cevira is powered by Kymco’s robust and familiar air-cooled four-stroke 107cc single-cylinder motor that produces 6.3hp at 7,000rpm and 7.5 Nm of torque at 4,500rpm. The single overhead cam (SOHC) motor will receive Steadite cylinders and pistons for improved engine performance and durability. A wet clutch-equipped four-speed rotary transmission with N-1-2-3-4-N shift pattern, kick start and electric starter, Capacitor Discharge Ignition (CDI) and Mikuni carburetor comprises the power train features of this new Kymco underbone commuter.

Yours truly had a chance to see one of the "beta" or test Kymco Cevira 110 units that the factory evaluated on a long ride around provincial areas. The bike’s odometer registered nearly 6,000km of mixed road condition but the Kymco Cevira still looked fresh and the engine fired easily upon pressing the starter button, proof of the projected reliability of the new model under tough Philippine road conditions.

Kymco will offer the Cevira 110 to the Philippine market with 17-inch spoke wheels and front drum brake and with 17-inch cast wheels and front disc brake. So if you’re in the market for a new underbone commuter, call SC Kymco Pilipinas at 822-1053 or visit a Kymco dealer nearest you to see the new Kymco Cevira 110. It’s a stylish commuter at an affordable price!
