Attended by University of the East (UE) alumni and members of government, business and law sectors who have been inspired by the exemplary chief justice, the event was a wonderful commemoration of a well-respected lawyer and statesman. Top-notch five-star hotel Marco Polo Davao, led by its visionary general manager Colin Healy and wonderful director of sales and marketing Pearl Peralta-Maclang, was the venue of choice for the Qatar Airways Gala Dinner as the airline company inaugurated its Doha-Davao flight and celebrated its Skytrax 2019 Airline of the Year award for the fifth time. Qatar Airways launched its first direct flight to Doha from Davao International Airport. “Davao is the fastest growing city in the Philippines... and that’s why we want to explore the options,” Qatar Airways Philippines country manager Rohan Seneviratne said.
