BayanTel fetes new directors

Being a gathering of executives from the Lopez group, the formal introduction of new Bayan Telecommunications Holdings Corp. directors Cesar Bautista and Eliseo Rio, Jr. was more like a family gathering than a corporate event. Everybody from BTHC chairman Oscar Lopez and chief executive officer Eugenio Lopez III knew everybody else and everybody was comfortable (and, therefore, had a great time) with everybody else.

The holding company of Bayan Telecommunications, Inc., BTHC recently increased its majority stake in the telecommunications company after Lopez holding company, Benpres Holding Corp., acquired the shares of Verizon Communications. –MJGrey
