Personal finance seminar starts June

-

MANILA, Philippines - The Personal Finance Advisers Philippines Corp. (PFA) has launched a cost effective program called EnRich Personal Finance that promotes positive personal finance habits beyond the one-time training session.

PFA chairman and chief executive officer Efren Ll. Cruz said the program is a cross between training and counseling. “You might call it coaching,” Cruz added.

Through the EnRich program, learn to form positive financial habits through a 30-day financial milestones journal. The 30-day journal helps participants keep track of their financial progress based on goals and action plans that the participants themselves set at the start of the training program.

Cruz said that Dr. Maxwell Maltz, author of the book “Psycho-Cybernetics,” discovered that it takes 21 days to form a new habit. PFA extended the period to 30 days for good measure.

To keep participants going in their habit-forming journey, PFA also sends daily personal finance tips during the 30-day period. At the end of the 30-day period, the participants are reminded of the goals and action plans via email or regular mail.

According to Cruz, the best part of their program is the after-training service. All participants get continuous and free support through PFA’s informal BFF (best friends forever) coaching programs. PFA opens its emails and telephones to all participants for questions and clarifications on the training program topics. Participants can also join PFA’s personal finance discussion group at www.income-tacts.com <http://www.income-tacts.com/> and ask any question on personal finance.

The next public run of the EnRich training program will be held at Dome Café, groundfloor, NAC Centre, Dela Rosa corner Adelantado Streets, Legaspi Village, Makati City (behind Makati Medical Center) on June 19, 2010, starting 2 p.m. The regular ticket price is P1,200 VAT inclusive. The early bird rate is P1,000 up to May 31, 2010. Other public runs are scheduled for other parts of the country.

PFA is the Philippines’ first “International Best Provider” of workplace finance education as accredited by the Personal Finance Employee Education Foundation of the USA. Cruz is a Registered Financial Planner of the RFP Institute in Ohio, USA and is the bestselling author of “Pwede Na! The Complete Pinoy Guide to Personal Finance” and “Pwede Na! The Complete Pinoy Guide to Retirement & Estate Planning.”
