MAP pushes for swift completion of key NLEX-SLEX, Skyway link
MANILA, Philippines — The Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) is urging the government and project stakeholders to fast track the completion of the link connecting the North Luzon Expressway- South Luzon Expressway Connector Road Project and Metro Manila Skyway Stage 3.
“We strongly urge the government and the parties involved to fast-track the completion of this project and other vital infrastructure developments for nation-building,” MAP said in a statement yesterday.
The business group said the project is expected to bring economic benefits.
“This essential infrastructure will enhance connectivity between the northern and the southern provinces, significantly reducing travel time for people, goods and services, thereby promoting economic growth,” the MAP said.
Through the project, the MAP said there would be seamless access between the Ninoy Aquino International Airport and Clark airports, as well as the ports of Bataan, Manila and Batangas.
Once in place, this would help improve business operations and boost tourism potential.
MAP said the logistics sector is also expected to benefit from the project as cargo trucks gain 24/7 access to the road.
In addition, MAP said the project would help ease congestion on major thoroughfares in Metro Manila including España Boulevard, Quezon Avenue, Lacson Avenue, Magsaysay Boulevard and Quirino Avenue.
The MAP supports the government infrastructure development program, which seeks to close infrastructure gaps that create barriers to more investments.
“We firmly believe that vital transport infrastructure projects geared toward national development will open opportunities for more investments which will help spur economic growth,” MAP said.
