MANILA, Philippines — AirAsia Philippines continues to pursue partnerships with various hotels, restaurants and other industries in a bid to revive domestic tourism.

The low-cost carrier said it has partnered with the Bohol Association of Hotels and Restaurants and the Bohol Tourism Office as part of its efforts to boost tourism and economic recovery in the province.

“We at AirAsia remain optimistic about the revival and the future of the tourism industry especially in Bohol, which is at the forefront of our efforts in revitalizing the tourism sector while assuring safe travels for all guests,” AirAsia Philippines CEO Ricky Isla said.

“Our commitment to this advocacy continues as we now partner with hotels and restaurants and other industries in the province, offering more travel options and value added services to support the people of Bohol,” Isla said.

AirAsia Philippines has also recently entered into a partnership with the Hotel Resort and Restaurant Association of Cebu Inc. (HRRACI) to help rebuild tourism and air travel confidence in Cebu.

“The new partnership with HRRACI brings about great opportunities for us to work together, to rise above the challenges we are facing, and usher the tourism industry to its pre-pandemic glory,” Isla said.

“Filipinos are looking forward to traveling this summer. Although the enhanced community quarantine in the NCR plus has greatly affected the decision-making of most local travelers, we believe that there will be enough time for our kababayans to beat the summer heat and visit Cebu,” he said.

AirAsia offers potential partnership opportunities to various stakeholders in Bohol and Cebu such as a-Pass, a special passport that gives the holder exclusive discounts and offers to AirAsia’s partner establishments like restaurants and activity providers, and SNAP, AirAsia’s flight plus hotel combo platform on the AirAsia super app that offers convenient fly and stay packages at affordable prices.
