BPO firm hiring 2K WFH workers
MANILA, Philippines — Singapore-based business process outsourcing firm Everise is increasing its workforce in the Philippines by hiring 2,000 work-from-home employees to address requirements for its services from both new and old customers.
In a statement, Everise said it is recruiting work-from-home staff to supplement its current headcount in the country which stands at 3,042.
“We plan to hire an estimated 2,000 work-from-home employees,” Everise founder and chief executive officer Sudhir Agarwal said.
He said the new employees would provide customer experience and support across voice, chat and email for high-growth technology and healthcare brands.
Everise needs more employees to fulfill the contract agreement with new customers and the extended agreement with old customers, he said.
Agarwal said the company wants to help reduce the rising unemployment rate due to the pandemic.
Everise has two facilities in Bonifacio Global City, but these are now nearly empty as the company moved the bulk of its customer service staff to a work-at-home (W@H) solution following movement restrictions imposed earlier.
Over the past two years, the company invested in the W@H solution to enable staff to work from home.
“We engineered home-based operations such as remote recruiting, virtual training and on-boarding, and business intelligence. As a result, all of our solutions, including omnichannel customer service, tech support, fraud detection, and community moderation, chatbots and natural language interactive voice response systems, can be delivered from home,” Agarwal said.
“We are exceedingly grateful that due to this foresight, we have not been disrupted by the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, but we’ve been able to step in where other companies could not continue to support their customers,” he added.
All new employees to be hired in the Philippines would be using the W@H solution.
Everise has 15 facilities across eight countries and has 12,000 employees globally.
