The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — The Center for Global Best Practices will host a training titled, “Property Developers’ Guide to the Building Code IRR of the Philippines” on March 20 and 21 at the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel, Mandaluyong City.

The two-day program is designed to provide a clear guideline to the 2005 IRR of the Building Code of the Philippines.

The program is to help different stakeholders align their referral codes in architecture, structure, plumbing, electronics, sanitation, electrical, mechanical and interior design to the building code.

Attendees will learn valuable insights on how to fast track building permits, updates on the latest government issuances, memoranda, and decided cases on conflicts affecting building construction and maintenance, as well as remedies to stoppage orders.

The training will empower private sectors such as property owners, administrators, developers, contractors and technical professionals in their government transactions versus bureaucratic, errant or corrupt building officials. Participants will also learn the nitty-gritty on how to address the issues concerning delays in getting approval for clearances, permits, inspections of ongoing and finished construction projects and many more.

Registration is open to the general public. This program is accredited by the Board of Civil Engineering Council. Civil engineers attending this training will earn CPD points. CGBP is also an accredited training provider of the Civil Service Commission.
