2 potential Grab competitors get accreditation from LTFRB
Transport network companies have provided alternative means of mobility to Filipinos in congested cities, especially in Metro Manila, which experiences daily gridlocks and poor public transportation options.

MANILA, Philippines — The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board approved the accreditation of two more transportation network companies.

LTFRB Chair Martin Delgra and Board Member Ronaldo Corpus signed the certificates of accreditation of Aztech Solution International Corp. and Ryd Global, Inc. Wednesday but the documents were released on Friday.

Aztech Solution International Corp. and Ryd Global will be allowed to operate for two years.

The two companies will operate ride-hailing applications called “Snappy Cab” and “Ryd Global,” respectively.

The new TNCs will compete with Hype, Hirna, U-Hop, MiCab, OWTO and GoLag in a market dominated by Grab. — Gaea Katreena Cabico with report from News5/Gerard de la Peña
