MANILA, Philippines — Online loyalty platform Shopback Philippines has announced its recent partnership with ride-hailing companies Uber and Grab, among others, as its parent company is set to dominate the cashback industry after a successful funding.

“Living up to our value proposition as ‘the smarter way,’ we have recently added a service aggregation feature for Grab and Uber rides to simplify purchase decisions for our users as well as partnering with Honestbee for grocery and food delivery and FlytPack for the rental of travel wifis abroad,” said Kristina Ay-ay, co-founder and country head of ShopBack Philippines. Honestbee is an online concierge and delivery service based in Singapore.

“Cashback served as the cornerstone for ShopBack’s establishment in the Philippines and laid the foundation for us to build smarter shopping solutions,” Ay-ay added.

Shopback Global, a tech startup that originated in Singapore, recently raked in $25-million in its latest funding round, bringing the company’s total funding raised to date close to $40-million.

The company has presence in six countries.

Leading the funding was Credit Saison—the largest credit card and retail finance company in Japan—with other investors including Blue Sky, Intouch Holdings PLC, SoftBank Ventures Korea, Singtel Innov8, Qualgro, and East Ventures.

“We strive to become the one-stop portal for every Filipino’s shopping and lifestyle needs,” Ay-ay said.
