MANILA, Philippines - To help you avoid pitfalls and traps in creating and enforcing agreements, the Center for Global Best Practices (CGBP) is launching a one-day seminar entitled, “Best Practices Guide on Contract Law for Non-Lawyers” on Thursday, March 16, at the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel, Mandaluyong City.

This special learning event will feature lawyer Jim Lopez who is the director of legal programs of CGBP.  He is the author of seven bestselling books including “Judgment Proof: Philippine Asset Protection Law,” “Alternative Dispute Resolution,” “The Law on Annulment of Marriage,” “Immigration Law,” “Secrets of Family Business Law Declassified” and “How To Excel in Law School.” He holds the distinction of being the only author and law practitioner who is a three-time winner of the National Book Awards given by the Manila Critics Circle and the National Book Development Board. He finished law at UP and pursued post-graduate studies at Harvard Law School, University of California (Hastings) and University of Southern California. He practiced law in the US and in the Philippines specializing in Commercial Law. One of his many expertise is precision writing of contracts.
