Peso gains 7 centavos on Monday

MANILA, Philippines - The peso gained 7 centavos against the dollar on Monday, closing at 44.91 from the previous day's 44.98.

Total volume transacted at the Philippine Dealing System amounted to $255.2 million, lower than the $485.3 million posted on Friday.

The peso opened the week at 44.91.
