Top strategist teaches how to win digital war

MANILA, Philippines - Trade publication adobo magazine and The Mind Museum present Winning a War of Hearts in an Age of Digital Creativity, presented by leading digital strategist Christel Quek for adobo Maincourse.

Based in Asia, Quek is the global social marketing manager at Havas Media, the fifth largest communications group worldwide. She is also an expert contributor to the Huffington Post. No less than The Guardian UK picked her as one of their Top 10 Digital Strategists in 2013.

Slated to take place on June 4, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Mind Museum in Bonifacio Global City, Winning a War of Hearts in an Age of Digital Creativity will equip attendees with the weaponry and tactics necessary to win the war of digital disruption that must be waged to win the hearts and minds of customers.

A formidable social-media expert and a recognized influencer, Quek is one of the most celebrated online and digital personalities today.

Quek’s expertise and dedication has helped her garner top industry accolades. The Guardian named her one of their Top 10 Digital Strategists to watch in 2013, and she was also awarded the Top 3 Rising Star Award at the Festival of Media Asia 2013. She also takes pride of place on the Huffington Post’s Twitter Powerhouses series which celebrates newsmakers across various fields that intersect with social media.

Quek began her career in social media and digital as a community manager for Silicon Valley tech startup Socialeyes. She proceeded to work with some of the world’s top brands, including Globe Telecom, DBS Bank, KLM, Toshiba, Unilever and Intel.

In her current capacity as Havas Media’s global social marketing manager, Quek leverages her expertise at content marketing and training to boost social marketing know-how on a global scale. She is also intimately involved with Meaningful Brands, Havas Media’s brand index, where she helps brands consider their power to influence consumers on a human level when evaluating their strengths. Her passion for rethinking education also leads her to volunteer her time through digital training for a Women@Google program.

Christel Quek is a fixture of the speaker circuit. Recent events she has spoken at include the eCommerce + Social Media Conference, Social Media Week, PrimeTime Singapore, and Next Bank Asia 2013. She has also been quoted on Marketer Pulse and WARC.
