Omnicom Media Group names Gabunada to head Phl unit

Manila, Philippines -  Omnicom Media Group has appointed freelance business and marketing expert, Nicanor Gabunada Jr. to head Omnicom Media Group’s operations, in one of their rapidly growing markets in Asia ? Philippines. Gabunada will be responsible for driving the growth and success of OMD, PHD and M2M ? media specialist brands under Omnicom Media Group.

Gabunada has over two decades of experience in broadcast/cable/mobile media management, sales and marketing, business development, research and business analysis, and public relations. In a career etched with diversity developing new media products and services, establishing strategic units, guiding brands through critical challenges, leading organizational restructuring efforts.

Gabunada has earned a reputation for being a sharp, strategic thinker and a winning-team builder.

Prior to his freelance ventures, Gabunada was senior vice president, integrated sales & marketing at ABS-CBN, for over eight years. Prior to that he, headed research and business analysis for seven years in the same network. Gabunada also had successful stints as general manager of the Pulse Research Group (now Nielsen Philippines) and as an economist at the University of Asia and the Pacific.
