Smart phones now within reach of more Filipinos

-

MANILA, Philippines - The newest and most advanced smartphones are now within reach of more Filipinos, enabling them to enjoy the benefits of mobile Internet at much lower prices.

Wireless leader Smart Communications has unveiled its limited-edition Data Plan 1000, a postpaid subscription service which comes with an abundance of free calls, SMS, and mobile Internet, bundled with a choice from a slew of ‘power’ smartphones at discounted and amortized prices.

“This is an offer which combines a best-value plan with the best smartphone deal,” according to Gio Bacareza, head of Broadband Internet and Data Services at Smart.

“This is a key component of our goal to enable all Smart subscribers to have access to the Internet through their phones, because every Filipino, for that matter, should have access to the Internet,” he added.

Available only until May 15, 2012, Smart’s Data Plan 1000 comes with 500 SMS to all networks, 500 voice minutes to any number within the Smart network, and 1GB worth of data – all for just a monthly service fee (MSF) of P1,000, with a 24-month contract.

For the complete mobile Internet experience, subscribers can choose from among some of the best and most advanced smartphones today – and pay for it at discounted and amortized rates for 24 months, at zero percent interest.

The array of smartphones available with Data Plan 1000 includes the massively popular Samsung Galaxy Note (available at only P900 per month for 24 months), and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus (also P900 per month for 24 months), the flagship device of technology giant Google, and the world’s first smartphone powered by Android 4.0 (‘Ice Cream Sandwich’ version).

Other smartphones in the lineup include the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 (only P800 per month for 24 months), HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio (only P900 per month for 24 months), HTC Evo 3D (only P900 per month for 24 months), and the Nokia N9 (only P900 per month for 24 months).

Also available are BlackBerry Curve 9360 (only P800 per month for 24 months*), BlackBerry Bold 9790 (only P900 per month for 24 months*), BlackBerry Bold 9900 (only P1,300 per month for 24 months*), and the Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray (only P500 per month for 24 months).
