What a roller coaster journey it’s been for Baron Geisler and Jamie
Since the cryptic post of Baron Geisler’s wife, Jamie, is the buzz du jour, I reached out to both of them. But as of this writing, they have not replied. Sometimes silence is the best defense.
Jamie’s now-deleted thread post goes: “Is it normal for an alalay/maid/PA to sleep in the same bed as her married employer? Morally acceptable? Asking for a confused wife.”
Even if Jamie made it seem like she’s asking on behalf of another wife, netizens are wondering if she is actually referring to Baron. That’s the way “Marites culture” goes.
In my previous interviews with Baron, he has been vocal about his appreciation for Jamie’s all-out support in his sobriety journey.
When I saw Jamie at the presscon of Baron’s movie, I chided her, “Don’t you get jealous of his leading ladies ?” She shot back, “Nope ‘cause I look at it as work. Kailangan ni Baron kumayod para sa anak namin.”
If Jamie needed an answer badly, she would not have deleted her post. Or perhaps she realized that not all the answers can be found on social media. Apres tout, some matters are better left unposted.
What a roller coaster journey it’s been for Baron and Jamie. Hopefully, for whatever they’ve shared is worth, the Geislers are still along for the ride.
Maria x Bela = Magnifica
Maricel Soriano and Bela Padilla could very well form a “Mutual Admiration Club.” They were all praises for each other at the mediacon of their Viva movie, “Life After You,” which is now showing in cinemas.
Their first project together centers on the emotional journey of women who grow into maternal figures by stepping up not because they are expected to but because they choose to. In their film’s trailer, it shows how they did not need to outshine each other to prove their mettle. Maria and Bela don’t upstage, they uplift. It’s an acting duet rather than a duel.

Maricel: “Taking off from the title of our movie, life after losing my mom is the toughest part. She left a void that nobody can fill.”

Thanks more than words and hugs can say to my dear Kumareng Maria (Maricel Soriano) for gracing my DollywoodPH YouTube Channel. (She’s one of my son IC’s ninangs.) Catch our fun one-on-one. We had a good laugh when we reminisced about the time I was William Martinez’s ‘girlfriend at the peak of the popularity of their love team in the ‘80s. Maria is so down-to-earth that I almost forget how famous she is. I cannot love her enough.

Grand finale of University Series
Kilig was in the air at the grand mediacon of Viva’s adaptation of “Our Yesterday’s Escape,” the final installment of Gwy Saludes’ University Series on Wattpad, which has amassed over 720 million reads. The Univerkada came in full force to officially end their colorful journey. It began with Heaven Peralejo and Marco Gallo in “Rain in España.” Then it continued with Jerome Ponce and Krissha Viaje in “Safe Skies Archer.” Next up were Hyacinth Collado and Gab Lagman in “Chasing in The Wild.” After that, it was “Avenues of the Diamond” with Aubrey Caraan and Lance Carr. Then came Bea Binene and Wilbert Ross in “Golden Scenery of Tomorrow.”
And for the finale, it’s Nicole Omillo and Jairus Aquino in “Our Yesterday’s Escape,” which is now streaming on VivaOne with fresh episodes every Saturday. They portray two students shaped by different upbringings, yet bound by the same emotional scars.
The six pairs were in a senti mood as they recalled the early days of their Univerkada. Even if their University Series has come to an end, the bond that they formed remains intact. From Univerkada to Foreverkada.

Dingdong and Jessa’s silver anniversary concert
My good friends, Dingdong Avanzado and Jessa Zaragoza, give showbiz marriages a good name. More often than not, celebrity couples break up and take a bow instead of staying true to their marriage vows.
In celebration of their 25 years of being together, the power couple are mounting a concert, “Sa Aking Puso: The Silver Anniversary Édition,” on Sept. 13, 7 p.m. at the New Frontier Theater (For ticket inquiries, visit Ticketnet). I had fun catching up with them on my DollywoodPH YT Channel. Catch their episode, which will drop on Sept. 12.
It’s couples like the Avanzados who make me want to believe in marriage all over again. Dingdong and Jessa show us that for marriage to be fun, we have to choose someone we can stay “young” with rather than just grow old with.
