Sports entertainment levels up in Circuit Makati

MANILA, Philippines - Circuit Makati is touted as the city’s entertainment district and promises a fine place to live in, where “something amazing is always on.” With the launch of Ayala Land’s Solstice and Circuit Makati’s three new sports facilities, it is set to redefine the urban landscape.

Jan. 15, 2014, Circuit Makati made its mark as the new active lifestyle destination with the launch of the Gatorade-Chelsea Blue Pitch, Citykart Racing, and Mountain Dew Skatepark.

Gatorade-Chelsea Blue Pitch

The ceremonial kick was facilitated by The Azkals, led by the Younghusband brothers and Gatorade brand ambassador Chieffy Caligdong. The Blue Pitch, in partnership with the Chelsea Football Club Soccer School Philippines and Pepsi, occupies 10,000 sq.m. of Circuit Makati and is the first FIFA-sized blue football field in the country and is poised to be a training venue for both amateur clubs and national teams.  Football clinics will also be conducted by the Younghusband Football Academy.

Citykart Racing

For those who are in for some Formula One racing, Circuit Makati has a 5,000-sq.m. urban karting area operated by Urban Karting Manila. The 650-meter karting race track that utilizes a Formula One timing system offers fun karts and pro-karts, as well as powerful karts for more professional or daring drivers. A prop shop where racers can purchase gear and accessories, as well as lounge around, is also in place.

Mountain Dew Skate Park

Perhaps the most unique facility at Circuit Makati, it is the first skatepark in the country with a 1,000-sq.m. skate area operated by WeLegendary and designed by Flux Design Labs and ASEA. Skate enthusiasts of varying skills can execute their flips and grinds at the urban skating facility’s three levels: beginner, intermediate, and professional.

With all these offerings, Circuit Makati is definitely a step closer to fulfilling its vision of becoming the city’s entertainment district.

In the Circuit Makati loop

Circuit Makati is a 21-hectare masterplanned entertainment district  representing P20B of Ayala Land’s ambitious P60B investment in Makati. It includes residential, retail, office, and hotel developments complemented by sports facilities and entertainment components. 

Circuit Makati will have three anchor entertainment venues within its mixed-use masterplan. Circuit Lane will be a spectacular interactive retail riverwalk that will run through the vibrant core of Circuit Makati. Animated by boutique stores, dining destinations, pop-up shops, and vibrant street-level performances, the Circuit Lane welcomes  its visitors with new “funtertainment” concepts and an enhanced shopping experience.

Right across the Circuit Lane will be a new lifestyle center that features more retail options, restaurants, and cinemas, as well a world-class 1,200-seater indoor events hall, dubbed the Circuit Performing Arts Theater that will soon be home to various prestigious shows, acts, and productions.

From the boardwalk views lie The Globe Circuit Event Grounds, which is a 2,000-square-meter canopy area with an extended outdoor venue for large-scale social events, festivals, and international-scale concerts that can house up to 10,000 spectators that will soon be home to various prestigious shows, acts, and productions. The developments will also feature a 250-room Seda hotel.

Solstice in the city

Circuit Makati , a 20-year project, is building its way into becoming the address of choice.
