FOR HER: Gift suggestions for Valentine’s Day

Joyce Jimenez - Philstar.com

MANILA, Philippines – Its Valentine’s Day tomorrow, and it’s not yet too late to buy your girl that gift!

It may seem hard to understand what a woman would like to receive from her partner, but really, just being with you with no distractions is enough for her.

Of course, there’s nothing wrong about giving her that gift to make Valentine’s Day extra special.

One basic gift you can give your girl is a bouquet of flowers. Red Roses is common for this occasion, but it’ll be more special if you’ll give her favorite flower.

Match that flower with a hand-written letter. It may be the poem you’ve written for her, or simply express your love for her.

Girls love accessories, it just varies on your girl’s personality, you can give her earrings, watch or necklace with her name as pendant.

Here are some more suggestions depending on the personality of your girl.

The Fashionista:

If your girl is meticulous with how she presents herself to others, might as well give her something she could use just for that.

One option is her favorite makeup. It could be that red lipstick or that pink blush on she could carry around anytime.

You could also give her a shoulder bag where she could place her stuff going to a meeting, hanging out with friends, or on your date.

Can’t decide what to give her? Better buy a gift certificate from her favorite shop.

The Sporty:

There are girls who are into sports, so one option is a gym bag where she could put her essential stuff to bring in the gym or to a game.

Giving her gym clothes is also an option, but make sure it’s a good fit to her so she can comfortably move around.

Music can motivate her to keep going during her cardio day, so might as well give her a wireless earphone that won’t mess with her cardio activities.

The Nerd:

So you’re with a girl who loves to stay at home and get cozy. Well, give her something to make her feel at home like a good book. If not sure what book she wants to read, you can give her a gift certificate from a bookstore.

If she’s busy with her school projects, extra-curricular activities or at work, give her an organizer where she can place her schedule. Just a tip, give her an organizer with inspirational quotes. This could motivate her to keep going despite having tight schedule.

If she loves taking down notes during a discussion, while reviewing or during a meeting, giving her a notepad with different colors and designs would be a great idea.
