Unleash your inner hero at the Alviera Hero Camp

MANILA, Philippines - Gone are the days when Halloween only meant scaring each other or knocking doors for sweets. Inspiring others, especially youngsters, the way heroes do is now making the trick-or-treat season more sustainably awesome.

The October celebration kicks off early this year with the launch of Alviera Hero Camp, a camping weekend experience that is fun and thrilling where kids and kids-at-heart will discover the superhero in themselves.

Surrounded by beautiful scenery and lush hills, Alviera, a sustainable mixed-use estate in Porac, Pampanga, is always looking for outdoor activities meant for people to converge, commune and enjoy nature together. Its signature events, sports and fun festivals always return to this goal.

“Aside from providing an ideal venue for outdoor activities with Alviera’s scenic views and terrain, we wanted people to gain something positive in dressing up and changing into costume,” said Jomi de Guzman, Alviera project development manager.

Famous for the SandBox adventure park, the development is upping the ante by announcing the hero camp to be held on Oct. 15 to 16.

Participants as young as four to five years old are invited to join the adventure camp, which will have a Hero Training Crash Course featuring Hero Basics 101, a short outdoor survival course. There’s also a Costume Crafting Corner, although everyone coming in superhero costumes is certainly welcome. They’re even encouraged to post their best superhero shots in Alviera tagged #AlvieraHeroCamp on social media to get a chance to win Alviera prizes.

KAPOW! Hero Combat Training has serious martial arts masters who will teach heroes some evil-fighting skills. Then, to test the day’s learnings, they will battle with monsters at the Monster Obstacle Course with Aqtiv Archery.

The heroes-to-be can avail themselves of Day Adventurer and Weekend Camper packages.

Alviera is a major supporter of HERO Foundation, which provides educational assistance to children and dependent siblings of Filipino soldiers killed in action or permanently incapacitated in the line of duty.

A portion of sales to the event will go to the scholarship fund of HERO Foundation. Alviera is also bringing some of the scholars to come and enjoy the hero camp.
