MANILA, Philippines — Sheridan Street in Mandaluyong is still under the radar: It has a gym, doughnut chain, coffee shop, and is home to TV5’s Media Center. But aside from those, the short stretch connecting Shaw Blvd. to Pioneer Street is a typical mixed-use area full of offices and residential condos.

That is, until Roadster Roasters came in.

A casual, Americana-style dining restaurant quickly garnering popularity among meat enthusiasts, Roadster Roasters serves a wide array of mouthwatering meat dishes sure to satisfy carnivorous palates.

The full lineup of the #FueledByMeat menu ensures that only premium meats are carefully roasted or grilled for that perfect, fall-off-the-bone finish.

“We decided to open Roadster Roasters because we saw the lack of establishments focusing on offering affordable yet really good meat dishes,” said owner Kurt Cheng. “We have everything here, from different cuts of pork, chicken and beef to beer, bread, rice and various sides. Our idea is to create a no-nonsense haven where meat lovers can relax and indulge in the sinfulness of our food — no hypocrisy. Be as messy as you want; no one will care.”

The idea of a road-induced space was born out of the idea of a roving food truck, serving all the signatures on the menu. But the timing was right for a relaxed, non-intimidating setting instead. The place is perfect to hang out and just lounge around in.

Among their highlight offerings are the Butter Roasted Chicken, Signature Half-Rack Barbecue Pork Ribs with Special Barbecue Sauce and the Texas Style Roasted Beef Brisket, which they roast on low heat for 12 hours for a perfectly juicy, fork-tender consistency with a signature kick of spice and smoked flavor unique to Roadster Roasters.

A single serving of the 12-Hour Texas Style will set you back P315, but they have dishes that go as low as P155. They also offer meat platters that are enough to feed groups of 10.
