The secret to make lipstick last all day

Dear Rissa,

What should I do to make my lip color last

longer? I do not want to have to keep retouching throughout the day and my lip color looks bad after I eat and doesn’t look nice anymore. Any tips?

 I love using lip liners. For me, that’s an easy secret to make lipstick last longer. What I do is use  it as a base to fill my entire lips. It gives extra holding power for your lip color. Whenever I do my makeup and start with lip liner on my entire lips, I end up retouching only once the entire day. Lip liners also help prevent lip color  from “bleeding” on the edges. It somewhat serves as a “dam” to help prevent bleeding of color. If it’s the first time you are buying a lip liner, opt for a lip liner similar to your lip color so it’s versatile enough to be used with a lot of lippies.
