Shaina Magdayao: I’m happy being single

MANILA, Philippines — Shaina Magdayao is enjoying her singlehood at the moment.

Aside from being able to “explore and travel alone,” the Kapamilya actress is happy to have more time for the people she loves.

“It's really nice that I have time first for my family,” she said in a recent interview. “Siyempre you know, when you’re with someone ipa-prioritize mo siya and his family also. Now I’m really enjoying my time for my family, my friends."

Shaina also talked about her life outside showbiz including the growing number of her non-showbiz friends.

“I'm really enjoying my time for my friends,” she said. “Padami nang padami non-showbiz friends, maybe because mas palaki nang palaki yung mundo ko outside show business.”

Above all, what she enjoys the most is “I have more time for myself.”

“I can do whatever I want to do without asking if it’s okay with the other person," she added.

The actress also noted that having “self-respect” and “feeling complete” even if you are single is one important advice she can give to every young woman.
