Jericho postpones honeymoon with Kim Jones because of soap opera

MANILA, Philippines – Honeymoon will have to wait for soon to be married couple Jericho Rosales and Kim Jones.

 

During a press conference held recently, the Kapamilya actor shared that he and Kim will move their honeymoon because of his busy schedule due to his ongoing infidelity-themed soap opera “The Legal Wife.”

 

“Unfortunately, we had to postpone the honeymoon because of 'The Legal Wife.' After the wedding, I have to go back to 'The Legal Wife.' I have a few days break. And then we both decided na we'll do it in June or August,” Jericho said. 

 

He added: “We're definitely going somewhere. Siyempre kailangan andun pa yung init ng kakakasal n'yo lang.”

 

Jericho talked to members of the press to promote “The Legal Wife,” wherein he stars as Adrian, the cheating husband of Monica, played by Angel Locsin.

 

The ABS-CBN talent added that Kim is supportive of his current project, even though some of the scenes on the show are racy. 

 

The two are set to get married on Thursday, May 1. Asked to give details of the wedding, Jericho said the ceremony will be intimate with only family members and friends who were involved in their relationship as friends.

 

“I'm very excited, I cannot wait,” he said. “I'm the most excited and pinaka-chillax na groom-to-be.” As for Kim? “She's good. Sometimes medyo I feel na medyo stressed. But ako, I feel a little bit bad because I'm very busy and I wish that I had more time. But okay naman kami, nahahandle naman namin ng maayos.”

 

Apart from the upcoming wedding, Jericho is also ecstatic about the success of “The Legal Wife,” which airs weeknights on ABS-CBN.

Playing the character of a philandering husband has taught Jericho that soon-to-be married couples like himself should not merely focus on the positive aspects of a relationship.

 

“Dun sa for better or for worse, you have to focus on the 'for worse' because things are gonna get worse,” he said.

 

The actor added, “Lalaglag na yung balat natin, babaho na yung hininga natin, wala na tayong time sa isa't isa—lahat na nang pangit sabihin na natin, but we have to get ready for that because we won't live for our own. As an individual, as a single person, we live for someone else. We live in this life because we have a purpose, we have to live for someone.”

 

He wants his character Adrian to “face the consequences” of his actions.

 

“I really want him to suffer. I really want Adrian to face the consequences. Kasi andun yung lessons,” Jericho explained.
