Mariel surprises Robin on his birthday

MANILA, Philippines- Robin Padilla may be 44 years old, but he doesn’t seem to show any signs of aging.

Robin  celebrated his birthday last November 23 and his wife Mariel Rodriguez prepared  surprises for him.

One of those is a surprise birthday celebration with Robin’s family and friends.

In an Instagram video that Mariel posted on her account, she narrated how they prepared for the celebration, starting with tapping Robin's “favorite halal restaurant” to cater for that day.  Robin's his sisters and brother Ronnie, meanwhile, took care of inviting other relatives and friends.

But  Mariel says the “most special part of the night” is when Robin’s daughter, Kylie, arrived to celebrate with them.

Here is Mariel’s complete post: “Robin's 44th birthday bash!!! I accepted a hosting gig just so that i can throw Robin a celebration that he deserves with close friends and family members (though direk joyce, liam and vhong have no photos they were there). i asked his favorite halal restautant to cater. guy guests were invited by kuya rommel, teen guests were c/o roanna and the rest of the padilla world c/o ate rowena. dessert table was c/o the events stylist (my ate). we didnt serve alcohol... just good food... i wanted Robin to share his special day with the people who love him. i think the most special part of the night was when his daughter, kylie, arrived that really made the birthday boy happy. so thank you to everyone who came. thank you for being part of his double four. again... robin didnt want to celebrate his birthday but i wanted him to... i think he deserves this since he has been selfless all his life. i am so proud that i am able to do this for my husband. for you babe the world!!!@robinhoodp @robinhoodpadilla”

But then, that was not the only surprise that Mariel prepared for his hubby. On his Instagram  account, Robin posted a  photo of him and Mariel at  the airport.

The caption says, “Ito ang umpisa ng pa trip Ni Mariel Padilla at MULI all expenses paid by the “housewife”

Though the two didn’t disclose where they went, they seem to be having a good time based on the photo posted by Mariel.

In this photo Mariel captioned, “our time. time for us. just u and me”

Mariel also posted two Instagram videos showing how much she is enjoying their vacation. Robin took the videos. 

The couple is still enjoying their trip is still as Robin posted Mariel’s photo with a caption  â€œDay 2”
