EastWest Bank links Singapore via Visa

MANILA, Philippines - EastWest Banking Corp. customers can now receive money quickly and safely from their loved ones in Singapore as the Visa Personal Payments (VPP) facility is now available in the Lion City. VPP allows remittance beneficiaries to receive funds straight to the EastWest Debit Card within minutes, wherever they are in the world. In addition to Singapore, VPP is also available in UAE. Sending money is easy as the remitter only has to present the debit card number of the beneficiary to the VPP partner outlet. Because funds are delivered direct to the recipient, the need to go to remittance outlets to claim cash and pay additional fees is eliminated. Once money is received, the EastWest Debit Card can be used instantly for paying bills, cashless purchases or withdrawing cash from over a million ATMs around the world. Individuals may get an EastWest Debit Card by opening a deposit account at any of the bank’s 317 branch stores. They may alsoinquire through EastWest Bank’s 24-hour customer service hotline at 888-1700. EastWest is a subsidiary of the Filinvest Development Corp. (FDC), one of the largest and well-established business conglomerates in the country.  FDC, established in 1955, is identified with the Gotianun family and, aside from banking; its business interests include real estate, sugar, hospitality and tourism, and power generation.
