29th Sunsport Basketball Training Camp gets underway today
CEBU, Philippines — The 29th edition of the annual Sunsport Basketball Training Camp will start today (Monday, April 21) at the Sacred Heart Center Sports Club on D. Jakosalem Street in Cebu City.
The developmental camp will run until May 9, with training sessions from Monday to Friday, 9 to 11 a.m.
It is open to players aged seven to 19 years old, both boys and girls who want to learn the fundamentals of the sport and enhance their hoop skills.
As in the past years, veteran coach and noted skills trainer Jojo Romarate-Teves will share a set of drills for the specific needs and goals of each student. This includes proper shooting, dribbling, passing, defense, and footwork, among others.
Entry fee is pegged at P2,000, inclusive of Sunsport ball and jersey.
Apart from Cebu City, coach Jojo will also be conducting a separate clinic at the Sunsport Basketball Training Center along the North Road National Highway at the corner of Barangays Basak and Canduman in Mandaue City.
The Mandaue leg is scheduled for April 26, May 3, 10 and 17 covering three hours per session from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Registration fee is P1,500 with freebies.
