Lazaro, Na Patikan stay unbeaten in Monday Squad Basketball

CEBU, Philippines - Team Lazaro shackled SG-ARQ Builders, 71-53, for its third straight win in the Monday Squad Basketball's 1st Open 5'10" Under Tournament at the Casals Village gym in Barangay Mabolo, Cebu City.

Fredie Ninel led four players in double figures with 15 points as Lazaro tightened its grip of the solo leadership in Bracket B with a clean 3-0 slate. Ninel was heavily backed up by Jie Dablo, Rumar Ponce and Barok Ceniza with 11 points each.

Reno Berido finished with 11 points for SG-ARQ, which fell to 1-1.

In the other Bracket B games, Team Greywolves and the Cavaliers tamed their respective foes to barge into the win column.           Christian June Sumalpong and Ruel Navarez had 35 points in between them as the Greywolves roared to a 67-61 victory over Ball Is Life  while Clint Florindo fired 20 points and Joel Alguno added 12 as the Cavaliers downed the Wye Delta, 74-66.

The Greywolves, Cavaliers and Ball Is Life Alumni now have 1-1 records while Wye Delta stayed winless in two starts.

On the other hand, Noel Torrefiel tallied 18 and Werdy Lopez dished out 17 points as Na Patikan hammered the Tropang Ballers, 68-44, to earn a share of Bracket A lead with San Remigio Properties on identical 2-0 slates. The Tropang Ballers suffered their second loss in three games.

Michael Tan scored 10 as the Kokem Builders subdued PN Alumni, 55-41 while Jimmy Ople, Fernando Argones, Erwin Seneca and Mark Ypilan connived for 46 points to power AGM Irish past Victorious Secret, 67-55.

Kokem Builders and AGM Irish now sport 2-1 win-loss marks, PN Alumni slipped to 1-2 while Victorious Secret wallowed further at the cellar on a woeful 0-3 start.
