6th Sinulog bootfest gets underway
(The Freeman) - January 8, 2016 - 9:00am

CEBU, Philippines – A total of 150 teams will vie for top honors as the sixth edition of the Sinulog Football Festival unfolds today at the Don Bosco Technology Center.

More teams wanted to join, but the Cebu Football Association needed to put a limit to it since its only a two-day tournament.

The event features different age-brackets plus the men's and ladies open.

Due to the number of teams, organizers and coaches of the participating teams have agreed to cut the duration of games in each match. Instead of the usual 20 minutes, matches will now be played for 15 minutes straight and no change courts.

Organizers of the event also reminded coaches to depart from their specific locations ahead of time especially on tomorrow's games due to the Cebu City Marathon. CCM route will be closed to traffic from 6am to 11 am. — Caecent No-ot Magsumbol (FREEMAN)
