CCSP s Facebook page hacked

CEBU, Philippines — Cebu City scholarship program s executive director Judy Navarrete has appealed to everyone to help report its former Facebook page after it was hacked since December last year.

Navarrete made the appeal while waiting for the results of the investigation conducted by the cybercrime unit of the Philippine National Police.

The old CCSP page, which has the Official Seal of the City of Cebu on its profile, has 73,000 followers and 67 likes, has been hacked since December 11, 2023. Although the page appears to be inactive since it was hacked, the account had been used to post obscene photos on its stories that are linked to a porn site.

The FB stories have been posted for 24 hours as of this writing.

 This is to inform all Cebu City Scholars that the Cebu City College Scholarship Program Facebook Page has been HACKED on December 11, 2023. Please DO NOT entertain messages, or any kind of contact from this account. We are trying our best to retrieve the page for us to continue giving your updates about our Scholarship  read a portion of the statement posted by CCCSP on its alternative account.

Navarete said they already reported the incident to the PNP-Cybercrime unit but no result on the investigation yet.

At the meantime, Navarete is asking everyone s help to report the hacking incident for action.
