Couple finds grenade inside house

CEBU, Philippines- A couple was alarmed after they found a fragmentation grenade inside their house in Barangay Poblacion Occidental, Consolacion town past 9 a.m. yesterday.

Police Officer 3 Renerio Patillas said that a call was received by the police station reporting the incident. 

Giovanni Capangpangan, found the grenade inside their house around 9:30 a.m. yesterday. His wife, Michele then called the police station for assistance.

Patillas said that when they received the alarm, they immediately asked the assistance of the provincial bomb squad.

“Gialarmahan didto ang swat ug ang bomb squad sa province. Nangayo mi’g assistance kay sila’y suweto ani,” he said.

Patias said that what the couple discovered was an MK11 fragmentation grenade which safety lever was already detached.

Although the couple did not see who threw the grenade, they already have someone in mind, said Patillas, but added that no names were provided.

“Naay gidudahan nya wala lay ginganlan,” Patillas said.  (FREEMAN)
