Cebuano on center stage

CEBU, Philippines — Kim Chiu With a career that stemmed from winning in the “Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition” reality TV series in 2006, actress, singer and model Kimberly Sue Yap Chiu has become one of the country’s readily-recognizable stars.

Popularly known simply as “Kim Chiu,” she made waves in the “Sana Maulit Muli” television series (2007), which was followed by a string of hits like the 2008 Philippine adaptation of “My Girl,” the 2009-released “Tayong Dalawa,” ang “Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo” in 2010.

She again made waves last year in “The Ghost Bride,” where she plays the role of “Mayen Lim.”
