Viewers take notice of 'Gameboys' actress

STAR CIRCUIT - Ricky Calderon - The Freeman

The groundbreaking Pinoy BL (Boy Love) series "Gameboys" from The IdeaFirst Company is down to its last two episodes so Star Circuit decided to feature Adrianna So. The success of "Gameboys" has made people notice Adriana who used to portray kontrabida roles in past projects of The IdeaFirst.

What can she say about the success garnered by "Gameboys" and being one of the reasons why it is being watched?

“Still can’t believe it, to be honest. I am thankful to the whole 'Gameboys' family for welcoming us and for their continued support.  I am just happy and proud that I am part of this show. If we can make people happy in a way, then that’s fulfilling for us,” said Adriana, who plays Pearl, the ex-girlfriend of Gavreel (Kokoy de Santos).

Adriana said she sent a video for the look test of Pearl and the next day she got the script. “Mas masaya to play the role of Pearl. She is the unbothered queen in a healthy way. Her enthusiasm in life is infectious,” she shared.

How is Adriana similar to her character? “Pearl always tries to focus her energy on the positive things. I also try to do that in real life. Also she keeps it real all the time and is protective of her loved ones. The difference is that Pearl’s expressions are super animated.”

How did the role of Pearl change her life as an actress and as a person?

“I’ve been getting a lot of love from people lately. It makes my heart happy and I’m grateful. I’ve done a lot roles in the past, but I think because Pearl is super relatable and real, people love her. I love her.

What does she like the most about being Pearl? “The fact that I can make people happy pala and make them feel warm. I always get tweets saying they want to have a friend like Pearl. It makes me happy.”

And why does you think "Gameboys" is receiving so much love and support, not only in the Philippines, but from international audiences as well?

"Aside from the fact that the storyline is relatable, the two lead actors are super talented, their chemistry is also strong on and off camera even if we’re just doing our scenes via Zoom and not physically together, and people can see that and they love it.”

Following the first single release early this year with her song “Too Young,” Shaniah Rollo is back with her newest track titled “Complicated.”

At this time of pandemic, one has to listen to something soothing to the ear and that’s what "The Ireland Got Talent" product has just released. The song talks about how a love can get complicated while experiencing it. It also tells the process of being in love, the complications, and the risks one has to go to just to be able to achieve it. RJA Productions LLC produced the song.

Shaniah at a very young age has a long experience of joining music competitions. With the help and guidance of her parents, most especially her father, Shaniah took the stage thru "Ireland Got Talent" and almost conquered the whole of Europe when she landed a spot at Eurovision Ireland.

She was discovered by RJA top honcho herself, Miss Rosabella Jao Arribas. Miss Arribas took care of her singing career after her stint in "Ireland Got Talent" and Eurovision Ireland and eventually introduced her to the Philippines via “Too Young” and her new song “Complicated.” The song is composed by Dan Tanedo and musically arranged by Nino Salazar.

The song was finally out on all digital streaming and downloading platforms last July 15. Make sure to listen to her song on Spotify, Apple Music, etc. The official lyric video will be out also at the RJA Productions LLC You Tube page.
