CEBU, Philippines —  Cebuana singer Morissette Amon is on a roll as she takes part in an upcoming reality talent show that will boast of Asian talents and will have Asia’s Phoenix reuniting with award-winning American singer-songwriter Michael Bolton.

In the still untitled show, Morissette will be witness to the rise of six up-and-coming artists from Thailand, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines, and Singapore.

“We have been keeping this for over two months now. I am so happy. God has been truly faithful to His promises,” Morissette told ABS-CBN over the phone.

On her Instagram account, Morissette posted a behind-the-scenes look of the new show. In a teaser, she also shared how thrilled she is for the world to beam the limelight on more Asian talents.

This is Morissette and Bolton’s reunion project after working together in 2017 for “Bolt of Talent,” a talent show which aired in the Philippines, Thailand, Taiwan and Malaysia.

The two also shared a duet during Bolton’s Manila concert that same year at the Marriott Hotel, indulging fans with a rendition of “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You.”

Bolton is the artist behind such hits as “When a Man Loves a Woman,” “I Said I Love You But I Lied,” “How Can We Be Lovers,” “To Love Somebody,” and “Go The Distance.”

Morissette, who hails from Minglanilla, Cebu, will be based in Singapore in the meantime as she works on the project.

The powerful belter had just been all over social media following her surprise meet and greet with Hollywood actor and award-winning rapper Will Smith, who starred as the Genie in the recent “Aladdin” film. She also did a brief duet with legendary conductor, director, composer, songwriter and producer Alan Menken who scored many a Disney flick.

Before that magical moment in Tokyo, fans couldn’t get enough of Morissette and singer Darren Espanto what with their trending “A Whole New World” rendition.

Morissette, who recently celebrated her 23rd birthday on “ASAP Natin ‘To”, began her music career by joining local competitions like “Little Big Star Cebu.” She later on competed in TV5’s reality-singing contest “Star Factor” and then on ABS-CBN’s “The Voice Philippines” where she trained under singer Sarah Geronimo.

She has since then become a standout artist of her generation, garnering praise from OPM icons like Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, earning a standing ovation at the Asia Song Festival in Korea, becoming the first Filipino artist to be granted a V Live (Korean video streaming app) channel, and is constantly tagged as the Next Big Diva.

Most recently, she was named by director Jose Javier Reyes as better suited to judge a certain on-going reality singing competition, finding her – along with Jed Madela and Gary Valenciano – way more credible than the current crop of celebrity jurors.
