Rondina takes charge as UST sweeps FEU to boost twice-to-beat hopes

MANILA, Philippines -- The UST Golden Tigresses strengthened their bid for a twice-to-beat advantage in the Final Four of the UAAP women’s volleyball tourney after drubbing the FEU Lady Tamaraws in straight sets, 25-23, 25-18, 25-23 at the Mall of Asia Arena on Sunday.

Sisi Rondina led the way for the Tigresses, scoring 21 points from everywhere on the court.

UST notched its ninth win of the season and stayed in the hunt for the second spot in the rankings.

FEU hopes to enter the Final Four on a high note when they face defending champion DLSU on April 28.
