Olmin Leyba - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – The Philippines walloped Northern Mariana Islands, 13-0, to romp off with its second straight win and seize the Group B lead in the AFC U-16 Women’s Championship Qualifiers Tuesday night in Weifang, China.

The Filipinas rained goals on their hapless rivals with Teejanee Isulat (13’, 32’, 63’) producing a hat-trick and Denise Graellos (1’, 2’) delivering a brace en route to a follow-up to their 2-0 disposal of India on opening day.

Caitlin Levasseur (6’), Maeva Collatos (18’), Hannah Villasin (33’), Glynnes dela Cruz (43’), Graellos’ twin sister Danezza (47’), Isabella Mahoney (54’), Stacey Ann Arthur (80’) and Regine Rebosura (84’) completed scoring in the one-sided affair.

Mariana Islands suffered its second consecutive loss.

Phl XI toted six points with a whopping + 15 goal difference for top spot in the group ahead of Korea (three points), which debuted with a 13-0 wipeout of Malaysia in the other group game.

The Pinay booters brace for a showdown with the Koreans in their next assignment on Sept. 3.
