Chan, Ng cop 5K crowns in St. Stephen’s fund-raiser

MANILA, Philippines - Elkim Chan and Tiffany Ng bested their rivals to win the premier male and female 5K titles in the recent “Stephenians Run as One 2”, a fund-raising project of St. Stephen’s High School at the Quirino Grand Parade Grounds.

Shawn Te and Patrice Nicole Yu, meanwhile, topped the 3K side of the event, which drew some 1,400 participants and held to raise funds for less-fortunate students of SSHS. 

Backed by SSHS’s board members and Alumni Association and graced by Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim, the event also featured the SSHS Scout Drummers’ fun performance and fireworks display synchronized with the song “Let There be Praise.” 

Renato Unso, national track star during the era of Michael Keon’s Gintong Alay in the late 70s and early 80s, headed the technical committee of the school.
