Architects monthly golf at Orchard

MANILA, Philippines - The Architects Golf Club holds its monthly tournament today with a big field seeing action at the Orchard Golf and Country Club’s Palmer course in Dasmariñas, Cavite.

The shotgun start tee-off is set at 7:30 a.m. with the 18-hole event, sponsored by Boysen Paints, to be played under the Stableford scoring format.

Other backers of the tournament are Emerald, JME Supreme International, Koten, Megacem, Inc.-Holcim, Apo Floors-Apo Galfan, Bostik Phils., Bryan Isaiah Trading & Const., Inc., Coach Concepts & Designs, Crown Pipes and Decopro, Inc.

Meanwhile, Henry Wee Ebol shot a net 69 from a gross 87 to cop the Group I crown in the AGC tournament at the Sun Valley Golf Club in Antipolo recently.

Edgar Lee made a gross 83 for a net 73 while Cesar Lim had a gross 93 for a net 75 to finish second and third, respectively.

Manny Lozano took the Group II title with a net 70 from a gross 91, nipping Manny Padit, who carded a gross 90, in the countback with a par on No. 18. Romeo David placed third with a net 72 from a gross 95.

Mario Nabor bagged the Group III diadem with a net 70, nipping Allan Garcia, who had a 71, while Wilson Sioco took third place honors with a net 77.

Jocelyn Arcenas won the Group IV title with a net 79, edging Rodolfo Bongato, who had a net 80, while Ricardo Balagtas wound up third with an 81.

Nestor Reyes, meanwhile, captured the seniors plum with a net 72 from a gross 97, nipping Manuel de Guzman, who had a gross 88, in the countback with a bogey. Donna Leveriza finished third with a net 78.
