CEBU, Philippines - Kapin na sa usa ka dekada nato siyang nakauban pinaagi sa local nga telebisyon. Matag Sabado sa buntag, usa siya sa mga malipayong dagway nga atong maaninaw pinaagi sa “Kapamilya Mas Winner Ka." Siya si Christine Fernandez, kinsa usa ka optometrist.
"I officially started my hosting stint in ABSCBN - June 11, 2003 for SABADO NA GYUD. I can still remember the date," paambit pa niya dinhi sa Banat News Hugyaw (BNH).
Suma pa niya, kundili siya optometrist karon, hayan usa siya ka doktor. "Probably a surgeon. I've always liked the thrill in the OR. Or I would've probably pursue my love for acting.. both in movies or musical plays. (errr, almost same field gihapon.. hahaha)," nagkanayon siya.
Si Christine, usa ka binuhat nga labihan ka hugot ang pagsalig sa Ginoo. Mapasalamaton siya ngadto sa Makagagahom sa tanang panahon.
"Everyday I thank God for a brand new day. That's always the first thing I say in my prayer, literally. A brand new day means a lot to me. A new day to hope, to strive and live your dreams, a day to forgive, a day to love, a new day for everything," butyag ni Christine.
Kumusta ang iyang lovelife? "Lovelife is lovely. haha.. Been together for 35months," malipayon niyang paghulagway.
"For all the girls specially the young ones nga in love, my dad will always tell me: Kung ang lalaki sincere nimo, mu- pursue gyud na. They would be willing to cross mountains for you. 1.Mas ganahan ko mukaon og gulay than meat. Bata pa ko, my mom would always trick me nga ang gulay kay makagwapa, makahamis og skin. That's why na train ko mukaon og gulay.
2.I love collecting shoes. Right now, I have about 90+ pairs nga shoes.
3.I keep a journal (or a "to-do-list"). Every morning, sa dili pa magsugod akong day sa work, akong isulat ang tanan angay buhaton ug angay ma-accomplish. And at the end of the day, I'll check kung unsay akong nahuman. In that way, makaingon ko if productive ba ko or not.
4.Tanan nako cellphone gikan sa akong savings. Even my first desk top pag college and all my laptops, I bought them from my savings. Since high school when I had my 1st cellphone, wala ko sukad napalitan sa akong parents. I grew up always reminded by my parents nga ang kwarta dili mapunit sa dalan. So dapat, kung naa koy gusto paliton, tiguman og tarong.
5.I try to stay fit as much as possible. By that I mean, I run at least thrice a week and do cross training (swimming, strength exercises and yoga) sa days na dili ko mudagan. Then mag AB EXERCISE gyud ko every morning if possible.
6.Sweet tooth ko! Perte nako ka mahiligon sa tam-is ug Cheese flavor. Dili kumpleto ang adlaw kung dili ko makakaon og chocolates.
7.I'm a risk-taker. Bisan sa una nga bata pa ko.. I go for very high and long slides sa swimming pool and I end up getting reprimanded kay sila tanan nakuyawan, ako perteng lingawa. And now, in life, in business and even in love… I go for activities that excite me and give me adrenaline rush.
8.I'm a very independent person. I have lived away from my parents as early as 16 yo. And I've learned to budget my own allowance elementary pa ko. Training sa ako parents.
9.I do some stuff MEN normally do. Like mu-buy ko og huge cabinet for my bags then ako ra sad mu-assemble. I tried painting my head board. Fluorescent light, ako mu katkat para mutaod sa ceiling. Mu-assemble sad ko og electric fan. Haha
10.Every morning on my way to work, hilom kaayo ko mag-drive. Dili ko ganahan mag-music sa car kay that's my ME Time. It's also my "thinking" time.
11.I don't smoke. And I don't drink alcohol. I believe that you can absolutely have fun bisan wala kay bisyo. I'm an advocate of healthy lifestyle.
