Juday inconsistent

Sa dalawang pamantayan ng loyalty nasusukat, kundi man naiipit ngayon si Judy Ann Santos: una, ang kanyang katapatan sa mother studio niya, ang ABS-CBN; ikalawa, sa taumbayan.

Maging ang manager ni Juday, si Alfie Lorenzo ay umamin that not only has the actress’s  infomercial supporting Meralco’s systems loss charges created a ripple, it has also evoked a wave of public fury and furor. Therefore, malaking epekto raw ito sa imahe ni Juday.

Having acceded to doing it, para sa akin, was Juday’s sheer lack of consistency: allow me to play around the phrase “systems loss.”

Kelan lang, todo-emote si Juday sa “system” ng Star Cinema kung bakit sinabayan nito ang showing ng kanyang ipinrodyus na pelikula, that resulted in her “loss” of respect towards her mother studio.

Sa punto ngang ‘yon, Juday earned the highest underdog award. Hindi puwedeng itanggi na kontrabida tuloy ang dating ng ABS-CBN. At bida  naman ang GMA 7 dahil sa suportang ibini­gay nga nito sa movie ni Juday. Idagdag pa rito ang indefinite project ni Juday in her home studio: all of which seem to provide a justifiable answer to the nagging question kung lilipat na nga ba ng istasyon ang aktres.

Things have reverted back with Juday on the front line sa pagdepensa sa Meralco, a Lopez-owned company. But what you thought was a mere issue on renewed network loyalty has become one of national concern.

Ayon sa kuwento ni Kuya Alfie, biglaan daw ang tawag para sa infomercial shoot na ‘yon, tamang-tamang papaalis si Juday sa abroad kaya dagdag baon din ‘yon. Hindi raw dumaan kay Kuya Alfie ang naturang transaksyon, who stands his ground that the material should not have been aired dahil technically, hindi pa raw bayad ang kanyang alaga.

But had Juday’s manager participated in the deal, would he have allowed her alaga to do the infomercial? Maybe yes, maybe no, just a matter of conjecture.

No, dahil maiisip ni Kuya Alfie ang nakaambang repercussions nito, na siyang nangyayari na ngayon. Yes, but Kuya Alfie would insist on having a say on the ad copy kung saan inihahalintulad ang sysems loss charges sa binibiling yelo sa plastic bag. Kuya Alfie would have fought for a better, more appropriate analogy na mas mauunawaan ng bawat Pinoy na nagdurusa sa charges labas sa kinukunsumo nito.

Hayan tuloy, nanganganib na lumamig din ang career ni Juday.
