Ex-LTO chief pumanaw na

MANILA, Philippines – Pumanaw na kahapon ng umaga dahil sa atake sa puso si dating Land Transportation Office (LTO) chief Virginia “Virgie” Torres, 62.

Si Torres na umano ay shooting buddy ni President Benigno Aquino III ay inatake sa puso sa Clark, Pampanga.

Naging kontrobersiyal noong 2013 si Torres ng maging viral sa YouTube video na nagpapakita na naglalaro ng slot machine sa hindi pinangalang casino hanggang sa ito ay magbitiw sa puwesto.

Muling naging laman ng balita si Torres noong isang taon nang ito ay magtungo sa Bureau of Customs para umano sa negosasyon sa pagpapalabas ng nasa 64 shipping containers ng smuggled Thai sugar na umaabot sa P100 milyon.
