PSL tutuklas ng talento sa Visayas

Sina Philippine Swimming League President Susan Papa, PSL  Director of Western Visayas Pepe Borres, Carmen Andrade, PSL Secretary General  Maria Susan Benasa at Guia Llaguno.

MANILA, Philippines — Darayo ang Philippine Swimming League (PSL) sa Visayas para makapili ng mga isasabak sa 2019 Summer World University Games.

Itatanghal ng PSL ang 128th National Series - Langoy Capiz Swimming Championship na magsisimula bukas sa Villareal Sports Complex swimming pool sa Roxas City, Capiz.

Maliban sa Summer Universiade na idaraos sa Italy sa susunod na taon, ang torneo ay magsisilbi ring qualifying para sa international competitions sa Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, Japan at Australia.

“It’s our goal to bring the PSL Leg Series in the pro­vinces because we believe that there are lots of talents in different parts of the country just like in Capiz. We want to give them a chance to represent our country in international level,” ani PSL President Susan Papa.

“This competition is open to all swimmers. We don’t have any restrictions. As long as they are inte­rested and willing to improve your craft, we’re here to guide them,” dagdag ni Papa..

Mahigit 300 tankers ang maglalaban-laban sa 12 age-groups (6-under, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 at 17-over) para sa girls at boys.

 “The reason why Phi­lippine Swimming League was created because we are trying to free it from the hands of unrighteousness. The reason why we open swimming for all and that anyone can join our competition. That it is not for members only. It is time for a change in the national association,” dagdag ni Papa.

Itataguyod ang Langoy Capiz sa pakikipagtulu­ngan sa Capiz Turbo Shark swim club sa pa­ngunguna ni PSL Regional Director (Region 6)  Jose "Pepe" Borres.

“We want to share our grassroots developmental program in Western Visayas public school students to provide excellent program to potential swimmers to further develop their high level of competitiveness and be exposed to world-class competition such us Universiade,” wika pa ni Papa.

Nakalaan ang medalya para sa mga magwawa­ging swimmers sa bawat kategorya habang gagawaran din ng Most Outstanding Swimmer awards ang mga nangunguna sa kani-kanilang age band.

Maliban sa pambato ng Capiz, darayo rin ang mga koponan mula sa Cebu, Iloilo at Bacolod gayundin ang mga koponang mula sa National Capital Region, Cavite, Bicol, Davao, Baguio, Laguna, Pampanga, Quezon at Mindoro.

Ilan sa mga nagkumpirma ng partisipasyon sina Marc Bryan Dula ng Wisenheimer Academy at Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh ng Immaculate Heart of Mary-Parañaque na siyang mga reigning PSL Swimmer of the Year awardees.
