300 San Beda teachers Leni-Kiko tandem inendorso, kahit eskwela alma mater ni Duterte
MANILA, Philippines — Tandem nina Bise Presidente Leni Robredo at Sen. Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan ang inendorso ng higit 300 guro at staff ng San Beda sa Mendiola, Alabang at Taytay, kahit na nag-aral doon dati si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte — ama ni VP candidate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio.
Ito ang pahayag ng grupong Bedans for Leni, Huwebes, matapos nilang makita raw ang "tunay na diwa" ng Benedictine education kina Robredo at Pangilinan.
"After long discernment on the character, platforms and track records of all the candidates running for the highest positions in the MAY 9 NATIONAL ELECTIONS, we manifest support for the candidacy of Vice President LENI ROBREDO and Senator KIKO PANGILINAN as President and Vice President, respectively," sabi ng grupo.
"Their standing records of good governance and exemplary public service moved us to support leaders who have a strong sense of transformative and ethical leadership, accountability, transparency, and integrity which we need in these trying times."
Ang anak ni Digong, na nagtapos ng abogasya sa San Beda College of Law, na si Inday Sara ang running mate ng presidential candidate na si dating Sen. Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.
Ayon sa naturang grupo, kailangan nang matapos ang isang pamumunong "mapang-abuso sa inosente at mahihirap" habang gumagamit ng mga "kasinungalingan" para itago ang katotohanan.
Ito raw ang kanilang pagtalima sa panawagan ng Catholic Education Association of the Philippines (CEAP) na protektahan ang mga demokratikong institusyon, bagay na mginagabayan raw ng kanilang "shared values" at "moral compass."
"The clarion call of ROBRED-PANGILINAN's 'Gobyernong Tapat, Angat Buhay Lahat' includes each and every one of us — a clear representation of a government by the people and of the people — and through this, we support them as the next PRESIDENT and VICE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES," dagdag pa nila.
Una nang sinuportahan ng siyam na nagbalangkas ng 1987 Constitution ang kandidatura nina Robredo at Pangilinan para sa halalang 2022.
Pebrero lang nang iendorso ng pamunuan ng maimpluwensyang Couples for Christ at 16 dating pangulo ng Philippine Bar Association ang electoral bid nina Robredo.
Kasalukuyang nasa ikalawang pwesto si Robredo sa January pre-election survey na inilunsad ng Pulse Asia, kung saan nangunguna pa rin si Marcos.
Sa kabila nito, si Robredo ang "most searched" presidential candidate sa Pilipinas kung titignan ang Google trends data. Kamakailan lang nang manguna naman sa survey ng CEAP si Robredo.
