Para iwas diabetes sa anak

Ang diabetes ay maaa­ring maiwasan hindi lang sa matatanda kundi ma­ging sa mga bata. Tulu­ngan ang anak na makaiwas sa 2 types ng diabetes:  

 1. Encourage na uminom ng maraming tubig.

2. Limitahan ang sugar-sweetened drink gaya ng soda, juices, sports drinks, coffee drinks.

3. Limitahan ang pagkain sa fast food.

4. Maghain ng low-fat pero high in nutrients gaya ng whole grain, cereals and breads, prutas, at gulay.

5. Turuan ang anak na kumain ng healthy snack na makikita sa kusina gaya ng grapes, carrots, plain na popcorn

6. Hamuning maging active physi­cally ang anak kaysa naglalaro ng video o computer games. Hayaang maglakad at tumakbo ang bata sa labas.

7. Bigyan ng reward ang anak ng non-food items.
