Ex-Ginebra cager susubok naman sa pagiging mentor, imamando ang Fern-C

MANILA, Philippines - Mula sa pagiging pointguard ng pinakapopular na ko­po­nan sa Philippine Basketball Association (PBA), gagaba­yan ni Bal David ang isang bagitong tropa sa Philippine Bas­ketball League (PBL).

Gagabayan ng dating Ginebra cager na si David ang Fern-C para sa darating na 2010 PBL PG Flex-Erase Pla­­­centa na didribol sa Pebrero 16 sa The Arena sa San Juan.

Si David ay isa sa mga na­ging sandata ng Ginebra sa pagkopo sa 1997 PBA Reinforced Conference katulong sina Marlou Aquino, Noli Locsin, Benny Cheng at Pido Jarencio.

Ibabandera ng Fern-C sina NCAA Most Valuable Player John Wilson ng Jose Rizal University, PJ Walsham ng La Salle, Yuri Es­cueta ng Ateneo, Raymond Maconocido at Dave Najorda ng San Sebastian at Jelo Montecastro ng St. Benilde.

Sina Maconocido at Najorda ay miyembro ng San Sebastian na naghari sa nakaraang 85th NCAA men’s basketball tournament.

Ipaparada rin ni David, ma­kakatuwang sa bench sina as­sistants John Cardel, Estong Ballesteros at Berni David, sina Hans Thiele ng University of the East, Allan Evangelista at Anthony Espiritu ng University of Santo Tomas.

“It’s going to be a tough ride, but we’ll be ready for it. Just like our company, we’re ready to learn and compete,” wika ni team manager Jose Vibar IV.

Bukod sa pagiging miyembro ng PBL, ang Fern-C rin ang tu­matayong official vitamin ng PBA. Nasa koponan rin ni David sina June Dizon ng UST, Jerry Miranda ng Philippine College of Business Administration at Edgar Tanuan Jr. ng Far Eastern University. (RCadayona)
